OpenVolumeMeshVR
A downloadable game for Windows
OpenVolumeMeshVR v1.0
OpenVolumeMeshVR is a sketch tool in which simple meshes can be constructed and viewed. It is based on the OpenVolumeMesh data structure. It also will support VR usage (For this version it does not fully work properly yet).
Currently there are seven different modes available (You can use them with the respective number keys):
"1" Vertices Mode (creates Vertices)
"2" Edge Mode (creates an Edge between two vertices)
"3" Face Mode (creates a face with arbitrarily many vertices)
"4" Cell Mode (finds and creates a cell which is checked to be enclosed)
"6" Move Mode (can move any component to a new place)
"9" Highlight Mode (highlights different entites in different colors)
"0" Delete Mode (deletes selected component(s))
To accept your selection (place a component or delete one) the left-mouse-button is used. With right-mouse-click the current selection, for example while moving a component or creating a face, will be reset.
With the keys "WASD" the player can be move around and with "Space" and "LeftALT" the player can move up and down. With "M" or "Escape" the Game-Menu can be opened and closed.
The Face Mode additionally provides the function to instantly finish the face by pressinf the "F" key. Then the last placed and first-placed vertices are connected and the face is created (only works when at least three vertices are already part of the newly place face).
The Cell Mode contributes another working behaviour. When pressing the left-click mouse button, the nearest face is fetched and an algorithm searches for a valid cell containing that face. If it found one the whole cell will be highlighted and the user can confirm the selection with "F".
To change the color of the highlighting material while in the Highlight Mode, the user has to press the "C" key. In this version 3 predefined materials are provided.
The "Save/Load" feature is also implemented and saving can also be accomplished with "CTRL+S" and "CTRL+Shift+S".
